What is foundry work?

Put simply, foundry work is the act of melting metal and pouring it into a mould to make something. That's about it really!

How do I become a founder?

Classing yourself as a founder can be quite simple. Try starting with the easy start to get underway.
Like most things in life, the basics are fairly straightforward and can be achieved by most fairly determined people. Don't expect to be producing church bells or Big Ben MK2 within a day. It can take a lifetime of refinement to achieve good results directly from the mould but with 40 hours or so practice you should be able to produce something that you are fairly pleased with.
